¡Gracias!

A mi padre, don Alejo
y a mi madre, doña Juana,
y por gusto de padrinos
a mí me llaman Leonarda.
He llegado a quince años
con regalo de mi casa,
dispusieron de casarme
con un mercader de Zafra;

To my father, don Alejo
and to my mother, doña Juana,
on behalf of :?: my godparents,
my name is Leonarda.
I have turned fifteen
with presents from my home :?:
and [they] inclined me to marry
a merchant from Zafra.

Y yo les he respondido
que no me traten de nada,
que soy muy pequeña y niña
muy pequeñita y muchacha
y tengo mis ojos puestos
y entregadita a mi alma
en el más bizarro mozo
que pasea la Atalaya;

And I answered them
that they shouldn't have such plans (to decide on my fate),
that I'm a very young girl
and I have my mind set on
the bravest of men
who dwells :?: in Atalaya.

El mercader que lo supo
salió una noche de Zafra
para matar a mi amor
según la intención llevaba.
Y yo, como leona herida
y yo, como leona brava
me puse un vestido de hombre
salí por la puerta falsa;

The merchant, who knew this,
came one evening out of Zafra
to kill my love
as he planned. :?:
And I, like an injured lioness,
like a brave lioness
dressed up like a man
went out from another :?: door;

Con mi caballo ligero
que corría que volaba,
di vueltas a la ciudad
y no pude encontrar nada.
Al fin le vine a encontrar
a la puerta de mi casa.
En el pecho le di un tiro
que a Dios le entregó su alma.

With my light horse,
that was running, that was flying
I returned to the city
and couldn't find anything.
Finally I met him
At my house's door.
I shot an arrow into his chest,
which sent his soul to heavens.

De allí me fui a Badajoz
sin reconocer ventaja
y cogí catorce ingleses
que de mí se embelesaban.
De que me ven tan valiente
por capitán me nombraban.
Ya camina el regimiento
que camina para Zafra.

Then I went to Badajoz
:?: :?: :?: [no puedo identificar el contexto]
and I met fourteen English women,
who were enchanted by me.
As they saw me as so brave,
they made me their captain.
The regiment is already coming,
is coming from Zafra.

He pedido alojamiento
para quedarme en mi casa.
Estando un día comiendo
la patrona me miraba:
-¿Qué me mira usted patrona
qué me mira usted a la cara?
-¿Qué quiere usted, que le mire
que le mire yo a la cara?
que esos dos hermosos ojos
son de mi hija Leonarda.

I asked for a place
to live in my own house.
One day, when we were eating,
the mistress was looking at me.
-Why're you looking at me,
why're you looking into my face?
-What do you want, do you want me
to look into your face?
These two nice eyes
are of my daughter Leonarda.

-Levante la madre mía,
levante la madre amada:
Dígame uste, ¿don Alonso,
don Alonso dónde para?
-Don Alonso se metió
predicador en la Mata.

-Wake up, my mother,
wake up, my dear mother:
tell me, don Alonso,
where is don Alonso? [lit. where did he stop? :?: ]
Don Alonso has become
a preacher in Mata.

Siete años serví al Rey
siete sin ser en campaña,
siete me he de meter monja
al convento Santa Clara.
Ya camina el regimiento
caminan para llevarla
a meterla en un convento
entre tiros y descargas.

Seven years I served the king,
seven years without being in campaigns,
and I must become a nun
at the convent of Santa Clara.
The regiment is coming,
coming to bring her,
to bring her to the convent
under shots and discharges.

It's a perfect day outside and I have to write a paper. Figures.

I need to write something for my spanish class for a test grade and I need help.

Here is what I have currently:

I know it is not much but I would love help.

Thanks/Gracias,
Tristan

Hola, i like the song: Macaco- Puerto Presente
Could somebody tell me what is song about or translate it to english?

Lyrics to Puerto Presente :
Presente, puerto presente
Presente y aquí a tu lao' x2
Presente, puerto presente
Presente y aquí a tu lao' x2
Presente, puerto presente
Presente y aquí a tu lao' x2
Presente, puerto presente
Presente y aquí a tu lao' x2

How would you translate this sentence into Spanish?

"I, for one, don't even want to taste that"

Especially the "for one" part.

Por mi parte - I, for one

Hola. Can someone please give me the lyrics of this beautiful song (Sarazino - el fugitivo)? In Spanish, I don't need them translated; it's just too fast so I can't catch all of them. I can hear the "yo soy el que pide suerte, yo soy el que no tiene bandera" but not the next rime. Apologies if I'm in the wrong thread.

[flag=]ro[/flag] Dacă tăceai, filozof rămâneai. (original)
[flag=]es[/flag] Si callabas, filósofo permanecías. :?:

Sorry, ego, for not answering. I remember I listened to the song and tried to catch the lyrics, but it wasn't possible for me. Not because of the speed, but rather because the music is too loud and makes the voices unintelligible for me.
