Believe it or not, I've looked in vain for this in the resources I've used.

How do you build the past tense with buut? By that I mean like "Es tur neesmu bijis" vs. "Es tur nebiju". (From another thread).

How do you build the "bijis" (participle?)?

I don't understand particles and don't understand what you need, but I found the grammar book mentioned in the other thread and could try to help you anyway, however maybe this helps (if characters look wrong you need to swich encoding to baltic>windows 1257, it's somewhere under view in most browsers)

How do you build the "bijis" (participle?)?

past tense for 'buut' is 'bija', so take the stem 'bij' and add '-is' or '-usi' as said in the link given by Sol Invictus.

Es tur nebiju - it's past, but not participle (I wasn't there)

I don't think learning tenses have much to do with learning participle, only Germans could invet such nightmare (I hope), but if you do learn other languages by comparing them to German structures then I think you won't find any material explaining Latvian that way
