Hi,
Page 137 of his En finir avec les idées fausses sur l'islam et les musumans (To put an end to misconceptions about islam and muslims), Omero Marongiu-Perria translates
as follows:
which means (I'm translating)
"... « as to those from whom you fear a hostile attitude, then exhort them, then sleep in separate rooms, and finally, walk away from them [without leaving your home] ». [...] Some muslim scholars have seen in the expression « walk away from them » that is derived, in arabic, from the same root -dharaba- as the verb « strike », [...]".
Can someone please give an example, in literature, or from the press, of the usage of ضرب, in the sense of 'walk/get away (from sth/someone)' ?
In advance, thanks.
Regards,
Fabrice
