One of the most recent issue of the Polish magazine "Literatura na świecie" (Literature all around the world) was dedicated to the Catalan literature. This issue contains stories by:
Mercè Rodoreda
Pere Calders
Jesús Moncada
Carme Riera
Quim Monzó
Joanot Martorell

I haven't read the stories yet. When I do, I think I'll share my impressions in the World Literature subforum 8)
I'd appreciate any corrections to my messages!

I've read books by Mercé Company and Jordi Sierra i Fabra.
Aquí es donde traduzco diariamente música israelí del hebreo al español

[flag]cl[/flag] native; [flag]en[/flag] fluent; [flag]il[/flag] lower advanced ; [flag]pt-BR[/flag] read fluently, understand well, speak not so badly (specially after some Itaipava); recently focusing on [flag]sv[/flag][flag]ar[/flag] and I promised myself to finish my [flag]ru[/flag] New Penguin Russian Course: A Complete Course for Beginners in less than a month (12/oct/2013). Wants to wake up one day speaking [flag]ka[/flag][flag]lt[/flag] and any Turkic language.

It is, but Spanish seems to get quite dominant at times.

Where is the Catalan course?

Postby tomak » 2004-02-29, 6:27

The link to the wonderful catalan course isn't working, or at least the one I've saved:

http://www.unilang.org/main/404.php

leads to a 404 error

Am I using an old link maybe?

Everybody can do this exercice

Even if you haven't studied Catalan, or even if you've never heard anything about it, you can do this exercice, as I would like to know if that's a good way to know the level somebody's got in a language. I would also like to compare the results looking at where people were born, their mother tongue, the languages they speak, etc...

Translate these words:
If you don't know a word, leave it in blank.

pare

Hello Josh! Yes, it's active (more or less ;)), but I think it would be better if you post in the other thread "2ª edició". ;) You can follow Pa Integral's wonderful Catalan course, and I can help you with your doubts. See you then!
