Why do you ask for translations in three different North-Germanic languages?

Góðan dag, fólk. Orsaka meg av at reypa, at eg dugi væl føroyskt. Eg megni* (not incorrect per se, but dugi is always better) ikki væl at tosa føroyskt, men eg vil at nýta mitt føroyskt, og eg vóni at verða godt í føroyskt. (probably: men eg vil tosa tað, so eg læri tað betur) So, um eg havi mistøk, høvdu tit vinarliga kunna rættað meg? Eg havi nógv mótmælat(?, spurningar?); í fyrsta lagi, skilja fólk í Føroyum skilja svenskt? Takk.
Ja, flestu fólk skilja svenskt, men svara helst aftur á donskum, men av tí at sviar ofta ikki skilja danskt so væl, so kemur fyri, at føroyingar og sviar tosa enskt sínamillum.

durch führ gegen ohne um (Acc)

In "Kanst tú siga farvæl", the second line is "og longst at sloppið vekk", and I can't at all figure out what verb "longst" is from. I know it's a supine meaning "longed", but I can't figure out what verb it's the supine of.
asgarnian123 wrote:Then there's "og teir kjansir sum tú fekk". Why isn't that "fekst"?
asgarnian123 wrote:And lastly, I can't figure out the meaning of "leggja heimin fyri tínar smáu føtur". Like, I don't know if "fyri" has "heimin" or "føtur" as an object and I don't know if this is actually using some idiomatic meaning of "leggja fyri".
Takk.
