Another "how do I sound in Faroese"- thread :)

This topic: http://home.unilang.org/main/forum/view ... hp?t=16589 gave me the inspiration to record something in Faroese, and post it here, but since I already speak Faroese - with a thick, Danish dialect though, I chose to record some of my boyfriend's poems

I don't hope I sound too stupid in Faroese, but I really want to learn that language, especially because I live in the Faroes

Hvítur morgun
Bláur himmal.
Sólin skínur eftir sundi.
Lagnur strúka fram í skundi
eftir lívsins lagnuteymum,
fram við dagsins hørðu streymum:
hvítur, fagur morgun.

alt er einki!
Eldur birtist, slóknar aftur:
horvin enn ein sálarskattur.
Burtur, meðan enn er morgun,
umgyrdur av frystum sorgum:
svartur, dapur morgun.

Gleði
Gleði er at gloyma
tað ringa nakrar løtur
og at minnast
góðar gamlar gøtur.

Gleði er at minnast
tað góða eina løtu
og at gloyma seg avstað
út á fríðar, fagrar fløtur.

I would approximate a Faroese long ú as a Swedish long u, i.e. IPA [ʉː]. Thus, strúka "[ˈstrʉːkɐ]". The subtle diphthong is too complicated.
