I don't speak or read faroese but I understand the närpes dialect speaken in southern ostrobotnia. So I'd guess it means something like this:
errm, djevla yngul legg teg og doyggj!!!
= errm, djävla yngling lägg dig och dö!
= errm, damn youngster lie down and die!
But I have no idea what svangaskard means thought I'd guess something like svängkäft, something mean with other words but I'm only guessing. A brave translation would be turninggap or swinggap. One who is insolent with other words.
Hunef wrote:Faroese yngul looks like (may be cognate with) Swedish yngel (neuter noun), which means 'fry', i.e. "baby frog/fish/etc.". Is it possible that Faroese yngul in the meaning "youngster" is slang, and that the primary meaning is 'fry', Mulder?
