Which do you use? I've heard both used. I think I generally use ''camcordered''.

I usually use the verb "tape", or in this conjugation it would be "taped"
if I was President,
I'd get elected on Friday
assassinated on Saturday
buried on Sunday

How does a camcorder differ from a video camera? I've never used the word before.

well the word looks to me to be a mix of "camera" and "recorder"

hmm let's see :

cam·cord·er

A self-contained unit of communications equipment made up of a lightweight, hand-held television camera and a videocassette recorder.

[cam(era) + (re)corder.]
if I was President,

I'd get elected on Friday

assassinated on Saturday

buried on Sunday

I've never used that word before as a noun, and I certainly would never use it as a verb! I would use the verb "to record"

I don't even say "camcorder". Both sound bad too my ears, but hearing "(re)cordering" (camera + recorder = camcorder), sounds uneducated (sorry).
