I was watching "The Ladykillers" again recently and I realized I hadn't understood that the first time I saw it and never asked what it meant. At a certain point the lady says, "You don't wanna be tried an' found wantin'. No, many, many done tunkalow parzen, Sheriff. Many, many done tunkalow parzen."
The Sheriff's expression said it all, even if no words should have followed: "Many what, ma'am?!". I admit I side with the Sheriff on this one. Does anyone happen to know what in heaven's name that means?
