I am not following the news, but I really hope it’s not another Chernobyl

The person after me has decided to focuse more on her work.

Not just work, but also family, music studies and physical performance :) My last evaluations were very good so I don't think I need to "focus more"

The person after me has a friendly boss and would be very sorry to have him/her replaced by someone else.

The person after me like going to demonstrations.

The person after me is letting the cell phone autocomplete write all their posts.

I'd say either ...letting their (cell) phone autocomplete all their... or ...letting autocomplete write all their...

I'd say slow the poor thread down even more.

I would say ...what it is.

The person after me likes going to demonstrations.

Demonstration isn't a word people use much in the US IME. I would probably say either protest or parade, depending on what the gathering was for. :P

At any rate, no, I can't say I do because I've never been to a protest in my life and I think I've been to maybe one parade that I don't remember.

The person after me lives in a place where the weather is warm right now.

I wouldn't call it warm, but it's been pleasant enough, around 20°C.

If the person after me could be back to 1885, they would know what it needs to fix the DeLorean and thus help Emmett Brown so he wouldn't be killed by Tannen.

No, the last time I saw the movie was over two decades ago and I barely remember it.

The person after me watched all three 'Back to the Future' movies in one sitting.

No but that would be a great achievement! My husband likes to do that with Lord of the Ring when I'm away from home for a few days :D

The person after me likes to watch movies while they do their weekly ironing.

Absolutely right. I need a distraction while ironing and I definitely didn't want to be stuck in the laundry. Although I have to admit that I hardly iron anything anymore.

The person after me burned a hole in a shirt while ironing it.

Ah no, I'm always very careful with ironing, though I must admit one day I damaged a picture that was embossed on a tee-shirt... :|

The person after me likes the sound of the ukulele.

I would still like to emphasize it's the autocomplete app of their phone that's the one to blame on, not the phone itself.

My understand is that took would be prescriptively correct here (they would know what it took...).

Just in case you're interested, I think I personally would say that movie, but I'm pretty sure lots of native speakers disagree with me on that. :D

...You mean you don't want to be stuck doing the laundry? "I didn't want to be stuck in the laundry" sounds to me like you're talking about a time when you were doing the laundry and you had to do something to avoid falling into a laundromat or a basket of clothes.

Is embosser used a lot in French? It's not technically wrong in English, but I've never heard it before. :)
The person after me likes the sound of the ukulele.

Yes. :D

Then I'd go with the second option: letting autocomplete write all their posts.

The person after me is a shut-in. (I.e. someone who stays indoors all the time)

No, on the contrary, I really enjoy to go out.

I've already started - I'm moving into spirituality and trying to meet my inner person so I can be a better person and undertand other people. I can see lots of people also do that.

The person after me loves sun-dried tomatoes.

I do, but here we call them only 'dried', not 'sun-dried'. Maybe they are the same. I mean, how else would the dry the tomatoes? With/in/on a microwave oven? :hmm:

The person after me game got divorced because of a stupid TV show.

Well, doing the laundry can be so boring that it puts me to sleep sometimes :ohwell:

No, of course not. It sounds like a ridiculous reason for divorce.

The person after me has thrown popcorn at people in the cinema before.

Unless your spouse worked as actor or producer or whatever on said TV show and spent too many time working on it and neglected their family and marriage.

The person after me has thrown popcorn at people in the cinema before.

Never.

The person after me kills for pleasure.

Well, in a story I wrote for school, I led a man kills for his pleasure.

The person after me has never jumped from a ten-meter tower.

I never crashed a plane, either.

The person after me has never seen the rain.
