france-eesti wrote:during all winter

This sounds a little odd to me, but I think it's because "during" and "all" in this case imply the same thing, so using both sounds redundant. My natural inclination would be to say "all winter" in this case.

Damn, beat me to the punch! :D

The person after me knows their constellations.

Not all of them, but I think I should get points for knowing one of them in both English and French (Sirius/Canicule).

The person after me thinks their local hospital serves pretty tasty food for hospital fare.

I have no idea because I haven't been there for more than a few hours at a time, but it's a pretty decent hospital so they probably do.

The person after me will tell us about their last trip outside of their area.

What's my area? Brazil? Greater Vitória? Jardim Limoeiro? My computer desk? I left some minutes ago to get some paper tissues, it was quite a journey.

No; I haven't played checkers in years. But I probably wouldn't mind playing it. I'm also not so good at strategizing in games like checkers and chess, so I'd most likely lose.

The person after me has a game they like playing even though they're bad at it.

No, I can't, but then I haven't needed a button reattached in a long time.

The person after me is known to randomly burst into song.

I am certainly able to be rude, it's just that most of the time I choose not to. :)

Does "good in it" work for you? For me, it sounds more natural to say "at it" for sports as well as games like pool, billiards, and bowling, and card games.

No, I just didn't notice it.

Or really any pursuit. Heck, you could reasonably say things like "I'm good at cheese" in the right context. :P

Lol, very true!

TheStrayCat wrote:The person after me is scared of heights.

I used to get really bad vertigo, and couldn't even climb up past the second rung on a ladder. Nowadays I find I only get it when the height is very great and if I look straight down. I was on the observation deck of the CN Tower, and as long as I looked out or across, I was fine. But if I looked straight down, then my vertigo came back.

The person after me doesn't kill the house centipede (if they get it in their home) because they know that the centipede helps maintain the population of other pests in the home.
