It sounds more natural to say "I think there would be better gifts to buy." If you want to keep it singular, then say "a better gift".

I'm not sure if you specifically meant to use capitals, but this gives the idea of three new sentences. When I use ellipsis (although apparently technically, in this case, the 3 dots are called a suspension point), because I'm usually continuing the same sentence, I wouldn't capitalize the "if" and "which".

france-eesti wrote:The person after me would love to sing in opera.

For me there's a difference in connotation between "sing in opera" and "sing opera". The first one means that the person, whenever they sing, would like to do so operatically. The second one means that the person would like to be a performer in an opera.

This construction is grammatically correct, but in common usage, native speakers would more likely say "sing in an opera" or "sing in operas." The construction "sing in opera" is typically reserved for specialized speech, in particular academia or musicology, i.e. "Singing in opera is often marked by vocal techniques particular to operatic music." It's kind of a different register of speech, one might say.

Anyhow, while I am a musician and a singer, my singing voice is not suited for operatic music, and I never quite warmed up to operas in general, even though I had to study many operas for my music degree.

The person after me recently rescued a stray dog or cat.

Depends on the mood I'm in, but generally, yes, I love nature. It calms and centres me.

Is the person after me more emotionally or logically/rationally driven?

I'm 100% logical... Such as supertramp says

But then they send me away to teach me how to be sensible
Logical, oh responsible, practical
And they showed me a world where I could be so dependable
Oh clinical, oh intellectual, cynical

The person after me couldn't name a single popular band from the last ten years.

(The most usual interpretation of "sugar income" would be "the money one receives from producing or selling sugar".)

I've been trying off and on for years to consume less sugar, but it's difficult because I rely on it to lift my mood when I'm feeling tired or stressed.

The person after me doesn't have enough good cholesterol in their diet.

I assume you mean "blood sugar"? I've heard the phrases "blood sugar level" as well as "blood sugar levels", though frequently it's shortened to "blood sugar". Also, I would add a qualifier of some sort to your sentence. I think it's because "to lower" implies a comparison of two points. Your sentence, as is, feels incomplete to me. If someone said to me "do you try to lower your blood sugar?", I would reply with "by what? what do you mean lower?". So maybe something like "the person after me tries to lower his/her blood sugar every day", or "the person after me tries to lower his/her blood sugar so that he/she doesn't get diabetes". If I didn't want to add a qualifier, then I would rephrase it as "the person after me tries to keep his/her blood sugar low".

Yeah, I noticed that after I submitted my response. I'm not sure why I thought of blood sugar over sugar intake.
