I like the American pronunciation because it's a pronunciation of free space; the typical British pronuciation is to pretend to speak unnaturally.
And vice versa I like the "classical" spelling because the American spelling is too "busy", like all of them are businessmen and have no time to write whole words but write shortened instead. For programming languages it's OK
