In this context, that would make it sound like you were saying the catupiry was a bus station.

What if he had said "because of, you know, it being a bus station"? For me, even though technically the "it" could refer to the catupiry I would assume the referent is the bus station from earlier. Also, Osias, in a very casual or informal sense, I could also see the phrasing "and because, you know, a bus station" working.

That might work for me, but I'd probably prefer if that was completely rephrased as "it being a bus station and all" (with a comma preceding it, of course) and placed before the first "because."
Also, Osias, in a very casual or informal sense, I could also see the phrasing "and because, you know, a bus station" working.

I could see that working, too, I think.

I can't tell what you mean by this.

One can't translate poetry too literally, so let's try again:

The person after me said a lot of "I love you"s for the person they wanted to date, but somehow their lie was detected and they are still dating nobody.

You mean "to the person"? No, I don't think I've ever told anybody I love them in a romantic way to begin with.

The person after me is a software engineer.

You mean "to the person"?

I can't see the difference.

The person after me is a software engineer.
I refuse to acknowledge my profession as an engineering.

The person after will be the last one to leave the forum today and got to turn the lights off.

"To the person" means you said it to that person directly. "For the person" could mean that you said it to someone else, or just out loud. There's no indication or implication of whom you said the "I love you"s to.

The person after will be the last one to leave the forum today and gothas to turn the lights off.

"Got" implies past tense but since you started with the future, "has" sounds better.

Piano. I know it sounds boring but to play it helps me to relax and to clear my mind.

No, I'm content to be a whisper under six feet.

The person after me wishes they were thicker.

I am not familiar enough with his views to form any personal opinion, unfortunately.

The person after me has a strange hobby, not related to languages, which other people don't always understand.

Yes, I am an all-time anorexic, it takes a lot of time to measure and weight everything and calculate every calorie there will be in the dish I'll be eating, + cooking fat and sugary dishes for everyone else. Believe me, it takes the time a real hobby would take :silly:

Though the person after me is a grown-up, they still have a penfriend like when they were at school.

I don't have a pen pal. (and never had a pen pal as a kid.)

The person after me is currently living in an earthquake zone.

Perhaps you mean "full-time"? "All-time" is used with the meaning "of all time", e.g. "the all-time greatest X" = "the greatest X ever".

No, but I'm only about 300 km from the edge of one. There have been earthquakes where I live, but I've slept through them all.

The person after me has survived a natural disaster.

I've only seen such disasters on TV. The nearest ones to me :?: were floods in near cities.
