psh... well, the point rather should be to help one another improve their English usage abilities... so rather than criticizing people for not speaking correctly, maybe you could just nicely explain what was wrong with their post and move on...

The next person is listening to music

Just as well. Since this is supposed to be an “English” thread, in a specifically “English” forum, what is the point of it if you can’t post your message in proper English?

She's doing her best. I'm assuming so, anyway, based on my knowledge of her. Some people just don't type well. I can relate to that - a concentration thing, I guess. She's not deliberately using net-speak, like "i luv u" etc. Whether she herself messes up the typing isn't an argument against the validity of the game. Of course one can ask her to be more careful or even go over her messages and edit the mistakes or something.
We natives can keep an eye on things so that learners aren't picking up one another's mistakes.
I don't see any reason against the game in English :noclue:

Just for tradition's sake, maybe we should call it The Person Below Me...?

The person after me is a fan of Salvador Dalí.

I can certainly appreciate his artistry, but I wouldn't hang anything of his on my wall. A bit grotesque for my taste.
Mister Dali as a person? Well, the less said about my thoughts on him the better.

The person below me adores Kandinsky...

Sadly not, though I'd love to see South Africa and Argentina.

I think I'd rather go under the 'obscene' theme of the last post rather than the one about ms. Alanis... :D

anyway, the 'next person who posts' :D is a fan of the Oz books:

No, but the film is a classic. I do remember reading 'Return to Oz' by Joan D. Vinge as a kid and being terrified of it, but it isn't a canonical part of the series.
