If, however, what you meant was "and the brightest color in my closet is dark gray", I would punctuate it "...is black; the brightest, dark gray." "Bath" sounds a bit odd here, since it's more often used as a clipping of "bathroom" ("This is the master bath") or in the sense of "an instance of bathing" ("I took a bath last night") than to mean "something in which someone bathes". "Baby bath" is different, since that's a compound in its own right.
