I think this is every rap/hip-hop song I've ever posted on this forum.

This is pretty much the only Shanghainese song I know (there apparently aren't a lot online). It has four lines of (heavily Shanghainese-accented) Mandarin in the middle and also includes the English words "BMW" and the URL "Shanghaining.com" (where this song was originally hosted) but otherwise is entirely in Shanghainese. It's just about life in Shanghai, basically. I was introduced to this song in a very interesting class I took in college called "Why Chinese Has No Alphabet":
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dan5zRE3Xlw
"Ameza Love" by Gtika is a Malagasy hip-hop song and one of the first songs I ever posted on UniLang (and one of the first few songs I ever heard in Malagasy):
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9oz0NrlVp-g
Lyrics: http://www.gasykamanja.com/v2/tononkira ... etail.html (good luck following them if you're not familiar with Malagasy orthography yet!)

This is a video about making hip hop (mostly) in Halkomelem, a Salishan language spoken not too far from where Koko lives :P
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qNACDc8c0DM
This is a hip-hop song in Spanish and one of the Totonac languages of eastern Mexico, but I have so much trouble figuring out which one (maybe Xicotepec Totonac, idk):
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N7sK_slefHM
This is apparently a combination of hip hop and folk music in Spanish and Sayultec, a Mixean language from Veracruz:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NImSQgEsHT4
And finally, this is a song in English, French, and Hassaniya Arabic created by Mauritanian artist Hamzo Bryn as a response to the Mauritanian government deeming a previous video of his to be controversial ("La5bar Chennhi" apparently means 'what's the big deal?'):

Nice song. I feel obligated to point out, though, that the chorus is in Neapolitan, not Italian.

Speaking of Neapolitan...

This is more R&B than hip hop, but I'll allow it. ;)

One of Lauren's favorite songs FWIR is this Tibetan...rap (and R&B?) song from Austria by Tenzin Seungyi about momo (Tibetan dumplings). Unfortunately, the only version I can find of it online now is this dailymotion version, where the video looks much worse than the original YouTube video:
http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xz15av_momo-2013_music
While I was trying to look for the original on YouTube, I found this other rap song from Switzerland(?), also about a kind of Tibetan pastry, with English subtitles!

I listened to the whole song twice and I didn't even notice any Mandarin lines, then I listened again to the beginning and the only Mandarin words that I heard are 那个小区的.
Yea, they say the .com part as "dot com", while in the rest of China people are more likely to say 点康姆.
And before BMW, I think he said TMD, which probably stands for 他妈的.

They don't say that in Mandarin. Maybe you're thinking of the part where they say "平常欢喜去阿里?" in Shanghainese.

The Mandarin part is these four lines (1:47-2:07). It's so heavily accented that 头脑 rhymes with 周末:
时间过得怎么这么快? 因为我们在上海,
天天都在想着什么、干什么、吃什么、听什么、玩点什么...
你学校的作业,做好了没有? 自己的事业随时会烦你头脑!
每个人的生活各不相同,可是大家一直等待着快乐的周末。

Here's a Tudou link with the lyrics btw (but be warned, different people write the lyrics differently and none of them ever seem to get it 100% right! :P).
And before BMW, I think he said TMD, which probably stands for 他妈的.

Nah, I'm afraid he didn't say anything so exciting. ;) He just said 开了部 in Shanghainese, which I guess is something like [kʰɛ lɤ vɤ] (or maybe [kʰɛ ɦɤ vɤ]).

No, I understood 那个小鬼头 as 那个小区的.
Shame on me, 鬼 is also /t͡ɕy/ in Wenzhounese! While 头 is /dəʊ/.
But as a justification, we don't have the word 小鬼头.

Wow I'm so bad at listening.
Thanks for the Tudou link!

According to the wu-chinese.com dictionary, 开了部 is khe leh bu, so probably [kʰe leʔ bu], [-bɯ].

Np! When I posted this song on the Chinese forum, I posted another link for the lyrics that doesn't work. People keep taking down every link that has the lyrics on it. :x

It looks like I forgot that I also posted two songs by (Israel-based Palestinian hip-hop group) DAM on the "Political Music" thread, both with English subtitles. One is "Meen Erhabe" in Palestinian Arabic:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NtUZFSRtWHU
And the other is "Kan Noladti" or "Born Here," mostly in Hebrew but with a chorus in Palestinian Arabic with Hebrew subtitles in addition to the English ones:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zIo6lyP9tTE
See here for some interesting information on this second song.
