I'm surprised it was that way around. I can understand the popular vote not liking punk, but I would have thought the jury would have been more kindly towards it, and judged it on its genre's merits. Because as a punk song, it really is pretty good. It's got a clear opinion and the opinion feels true. With punk, that is pretty much all that matters. The playing or singing doesn't have to be, almost isn't supposed to be, beautiful in the sense of other music genres.
Well, just musing. It would be interesting to see if different countries' jurys had a different take on it.
