this girl got famous a couple of years ago because she uploaded a video where she complained about catalanophobia in Spain, even though she's Andalusian. The video was quite right, but I hate that she tries to hide her accent not to sound Andalusian.

Channels that I follow:

[flag=]ca[/flag] Canyot uploads videos about Valencian politics, usually ridiculing the governing right-wing party.

[flag=]es[/flag] ElvisaYomastercard is a YouTube star character who uploads funny tutorials about mundane things.

[flag=]ca[/flag] Paper i píxels does video reviews of books.

The other ones aren't worth mentioning.

That's how I found her. When I was still interested in Catalan I came across her video about Catalanophobia. In another of her videos she explains why she doesn't speak with an Andalusian accent (can't find it though), but of course depending on how cynic you are you can either believe she's telling the truth or just making up a weak excuse. :lol:

[flag=]de[/flag] Domtendo - German guy who does "Let's Play" video game videos. Mostly Nintendo games such as Mario and Zelda. I watch his videos to help practice my German listening.

[flag=]en-us[/flag] Cinemassacre - Angry Video Game Nerd. A guy who's been reviewing bad old games for some years now. Been an avid watcher since 2006.

Easy Languages - A great channel where you can watch videos of people going out to the street and speak with the locals in many languages. Instead of some tedious grammar book, you larn the language form the streets. By listening to native speakers talk.

I've only seen a few of their videos before, but yeah, I agree, it looks like a pretty good channel from what I've seen so far, at least if that's what you're interested in. :)

I don't recommend it for beginners. But once you're past the basics and have a grasp of the grammar, it's a pretty useful resource to help you on the road to fluency.

A few more channels I forgot to post before but that I often use for learning certain languages:

Australian Kriol (and other Australian languages): italklibrary

[flag="Mapudungun"]arn[/flag] AmulZugun

[flag="Lnuismk"]mic[/flag] John Nick Jeddore

Michif: learnmichif

And actually, to be honest, there's also this channel:

World Language Movies, a multilingual channel with evangelical Christian messages. I don't care much for what they're trying to do, but ya gotta love their huge collection of languages. I can think of a few languages off the top of my head for which basically the only recordings I have ever heard come from this channel.

[flag=]en-us[/flag] Kurt Hugo Schneider (pop-song covers)

[flag=]en-us[/flag] WhatsUpELLE (clones, dancing, mom humor, depressingly inactive)

[flag=]fr[/flag] Norman (fait des vidéos)

[flag=]fr-be[/flag] Dapastudio (mock lessons from Stromae)

Karachay-Balkar (krc) Afyon Karacay

Also, dimuska is a good channel for songs in some minority Uralic languages spoken in Russia.

Dungan (dng) Aleksa Meizer, the YouTube channel of the niece of Dungan singer Zulfiya Meizer (only has a few uploads, though, including one video with a song in Mandarin (zh) (but with Dungan-style dancing) and another in Russian (ru), which is also the language of most of the videos she likes, comments on, etc.)

This is a recent-ish educational channel
[flag=]us[/flag] Geography Now

It was maps, it has flags, it has some semi-bad linguistics here and there, and it has a cute guy presenting it, so overall, I think UL will like this :lol:
"If you like your clause structure, you can keep your clause structure"
Stable: Cypriot Greek (el-cy)Standard Modern Greek (el)English (en) Current: Standard German (de)

It does seem like an interesting channel for someone who likes geography such as myself. Don't care about the "cute guy" part. But the internet is full of places where I can look at good looking females, anyway.

Some cool channels for songs in Pashai from Nuristan (northeastern Afghanistan):

Momankhan 786
SherMohammadNoury (not sure whether all the songs here are in Pashai)
Possibly also Saeed Hassan. Will have to check out to know :P

And okay, let's admit it. I've been trying to avoid this channel because it just sounds...weird to me, but it has some pretty damn good songs in a lot of Central Asian (and Russian minority) languages:
✣ Tengri • Spirit of the Steppe ✣
