I'm very embarrassed to say this, but I just watched the entire first season of Twin Peaks in one sitting! I ordered the box set, and I got hooked. I love David Lynch.
Cherokee Indian STILL improving German.
Getting reacquainted with Swahili Msaada!

Last week I went to the cinema twice. First was on Wednesday to watch Surrogates. It was okay, but it didn't have much substance. Second was on Thursday to watch Zombieland. Best film I've seen in the cinema since I can't remember when!
(EDIT: Oh, wait, I know now! Inglorious Basterds!)

This Wednesday I'll probably see either The Invention of Lying or UP.

I watched My Life in Ruins the day before yesterday and it was really hilarious.

Love Greece more after having seen it.

Welcome to the club :) I'm losing count of how many times I watched Twin Peaks.

Did you watch Fire Walk with Me? That's the "prequel" that Lynch made 1 yr after Twin Peaks.
I'm now watching "Inland Empire"

Yes, but only once, time for a second viewing. It's still more comprehensible than the rest of the crop, Inland Empire included. Watched Mullholland Drive for the second time a few days ago, it made as much sense as the first time :D I also have the DVD for "The straight story" but didn't manage to watch it yet. Supposedly this one is so little on the Mind Screw side that Lynch named it The Straight Story.
BTW, anyone care to explain what Eraserhead was about?

Agree here. It was good for watching once, but they didn't really explore the possibilities of the setting (not that that's surprising). I mean, come on -- people can have a personal puppet/surrogate, and they all choose to have them look like people? I'd so pick an elf at least . Plus all the other shortcomings the movie had imagination-wise.

Also watched District 9, which was much more interesting. I guess we can expect a sequel next year ;).

Upon hearing about the movie's theme, I thought the plot of aliens landing in South Africa would fall victim to What Do You Mean, It's Not Symbolic?, but turns out it was gracefully executed.

It's kind of fun, but nothing more. May be it's just me who is not a child anymore? "sigh"

And...Antichrist by Lars von Trier. Crazy film, a must to watch.

Incidentally I drove past the high school he attended (Guildford Grammar School) on my way home today. God bless his soul and proud to be a Perthian :) . I'm about to watch Mean Girls again lol! I like the fact that Trang Pak is only half Vietnamese of a name.

His works alone bless his soul more than any deity ever could.

Tonight I had to choose between Brokeback and Mean Girls. Wasn't that much of a hard choice, but still I wish they'd been aired by the same channel so I could've watched both.

Pan's Labyrinth. Sickeningly good. I can't believe it's not from Hollywood.

Oh wait, it can't be from Hollywood. It's too dark and original for Hollywood. Actually I'm more stunned by the fact that it's Mexican.
