Finally saw Persepolis (because my husband was sulking behind his laptop, so I was finally completely free to choose the program and ask no one's opinion about what they wanna to watch).

I loved and cried

One of my favorite colleagues has left Iran the moment the Shah got hold of the country - I'll have something to discuss with him :D

I really liked that animation, I thought it was really well done and heartbreaking!

Yes. Indeed, but not for children! My daughter was amazed I was watching this animation movie - I usually dislike them - and I told her it was "adult animation movie" :D
Hey what, she has "Home Alone", "Harry Potter", "Beethoven" and "ā€ˇHoney, I Shrunk the Kids", children movies, so why can't there be adult animation movies? :D (that aren't even mangas) :silly:

I've still to watch that one. I read the book in Spanish more than 10 years ago and have it on Portuguese. I intend to re-read it sometime in French.

Can anyone tell me why Mad Max is considered to be a classic? Having a look at trakt.tv, I'm obviously not the only one who doesn't get it, but I found it boring at best. Are the other films any better?

I believe it's because of the sequel.

I watched the original one recently and I found it awful.

It had nothing to do with the sequels except for Mel Gibson.

But I don't understand a lot about Cinema.

I watched the Velocipastor. Everthing you read in the synopsis is happening.

I watched both of them yesterday and they're definitely better. I watched Pixels today and I thought it was alright.

There are three sequels.

Road Warrior, Thunderdome and Fury Road.

Oh, ok, I didn't know that.

I watched Asterix and Obelix: Mansion of the Gods today. I can't say I liked it. I really don't like the new style and the new German voices don't fit at all. It wasn't bad, but definitely worse than the old ones.

I watched Dragon Fight, and it had both Jet Li and Stephen Chow :D
It was not my favourite Stephen Chow movie, but I could see Jet Li smiling, which was kind of rare in the movies I've seen from him (later works).

El Oyo. It's a very good movie but it makes no sense.
