When it comes to film and TV I love science fiction, fantasy and things like that :)

I used to watch Stargate SG-1 and I follow Atalantis.

I like the new Battlestar Galactica.

I loved Farscape.

Firefly seems to be really good although I have only watched two episodes this far.

I just finished a Robin Hood series from the 80's (I never thought anyone could be that hot in a haircut from that period, btw Lada he was in Dynasty also) with a lot of fantasy and mythological elements. The same one that nighean-neonach likes.

Heroes is very good.

Buffy, who doesn't like this series? ;)

Bones is ok too, not really my genre but I like it anyway :)

It's a bit embarrassing, isn't it? But then again, I like all that stuff about Herne, and Marian is a great character, and it's just soooo sad when Robin dies

Apart from (some of) the haircuts I don't think it feels that old, and it's certainly better than the one BBC is making.

I really like the ledgend of Robin Hood, ever since I first watched the Disney cartoon

I watch mainly scifi and fantasy stuff, besides the news:

BBC
----
Doctor Who
Torchwood
Robin Hood (the new series)
Primeval
Monty Python's Flying Circus (old reruns, of course.. but it never goes out of style)

American
---------
Stargate SG-1
Stargate Atlantis
Sanctuary
Eureka
Globetrekker (travel series)

I guess as an American I should be doing the whole Friends/Simpson/Seinfeld stuff, but never really saw the appeal.

Course.. people say that about the stuff I watch, so I guess it's only fair.

Favorite series that are over now are Babylon 5 and Firefly, both of which are fantastic (IMHO) and I have them all on DVDs now.

Even though I don't watch TV very often (honest!) there are quite a few shows that I like:

USA
-Seinfeld
-The Simpsons (old stuff only, the last few years have been mediocre at best)
-LOST
-The Office (US version)
-Gossip Girl (it's sooo wonderfully trashy! :D)
-Law & Order: SVU
-Ugly Betty

I don't really watch any TV shows from other countries, though the British version of The Office is good and Canada's Little Mosque on the Prairie is sometimes cute (but sometimes annoying). I tried to watch Zero Degree Turn (Iranian soap opera) online, but I couldn't find the episodes.
Please correct my mistakes in any language.

American:
Fresh Prince of Bel-aire
House MD
The Simpsons
Heroes

British:
Ramsey's Kitchen Nightmares
Hex (I love the re-runs!)

The only one I actually follow is Heroes. I watch re-runs of the rest.

The only shows I currently watch regularly are
- House
- Desperate Housewives
- The Simpsons

I download them from the internet since I can't stand adverts and faulty translations (not to mention insane time slots)

The ones I used to watch and still watch them occasionally
- British: 'Allo 'Allo, Blackadder, Monty Python, Coupling, Only Fools and Horses, Men Behaving Badly
- American: Lost, Family Guy, Futurama, Prison Break (only the first two seasons, the rest sucks), Supernatural, Queer As Folk ( :gay: ), Heroes (only the first season), My Name is Earl, Rome, Weeds, the X-Files, South Park, Medium, Six Feet Under, etc.

The shows I watched but now I find them entirely stupid:
Sex and the City, Ally McBeal. Buffy and co, Friends, every single Latin American soap opera (except for a few Brazilian ones), there are more, I'll think better later.

The only non-rerun scifi/fantasy series on Finnish channels at the moment is Farscape. Yes, the situation is that bad :x.

Yes, mon ami. He is an actor most competent .

And I loved the Agatha Christie's Marple series with Geraldine McEwan! Even if it is notorious for not quite following the books faithfully.

Here some series I watch or used to watch regularly, includes a lot of SciFi :)

British:
- Dr. Who (new version only)
- Queer as Folk (original UK version)
- Keeping up Appearances (My boyfriend always calls me Hyacinth when we're in the car ;) )
- Allo' Allo'
- Are you being served?
- Fawlty Towers
- Monty Python
- Little Britain
- BlackAdder

British/American:
- Rome (season 1 & 2)

American/Australian:
- Farscape

Australian
- The Tribe (a very silly series for kids, I was younger then ;) )

American:
- Babylon 5 (my all-time favourite)
- Stargate SG-1 (makes a good second when it comes to SciFi)
- Stargate Atlantis
- Heroes (ESPECIALLY Peter Petrelli :P )
- Star Trek: The Next Generation
- Star Trek: Deep space 9
- Star Trek: Voyager
- Star Trek: Enterprise
- Battlestar Galactica (both the original and the new version)
- The Simpsons
- Third Rock from the Sun
- Dharma and Greg
- Charmed
- Gilmore Girls (yes, I know it's girly, but it has Peter Petrelli again :P)
- That 70s Show
- Quantum Leap (good that Lada mentioned it, I used to watch this as well, ages ago :) )
- X-Files (ages ago, when I was a kid)
- Highlander (ages ago, when I was a kid)

Dutch:
- Kinderen geen Bezwaar (sitcom, VARA)
- Mooi weer de Leeuw * (comedy show, VARA)
- De Lama's * (comedy show, BNN)
- Papaul * (comedy show)
- Oppassen! (sitcom)
- Het zonnetje in huis (sitcom)
- Sam Sam (sitcom)
- Vrienden voor het leven (sitcom)

German:
- Das Jugendgericht - (a fake court thing) (RTL)
- Schillerstraße* - (live improvised comedy, I saw only very few episodes, never knew where and when it aired)
- Besides that I occassionaly tend to watch animal programs on german TV, they have a lot of it

Italian:
- Amici* (It's a kind of Pop Idol variant, but also with dance and all, we watched this for a little while ;) )

* = not really a TV series, more like a recurring show

Well, i hope I didn't forget much. I hope to see someone mentioning some French/Spanish/Italian/Portuguese/Brazilian shows that are still on the air, I'm looking for something nice and non-English/non-Dutch to watch :)

EDIT: I forgot to add 'keeping up appearances', added now :)

Swedish channels won't show Farscape, at least not any of the "normal" ones, it's possible it's on TV4 Science Fition but I don't know anyone who has it.

The new season of Stargate Atlantis is the only non-rerun scifi that I know of on other channels at the moment, Battlestar Galactica will be too when the next season starts.

Ok, there aren't that many new series, but they aren't even interested in showing the good older ones :-(

Have you tried downloading?

I've been able to download almost all the shows I listed. I have every Doctor Who ever made, as well as Torchwood, B5, Crusade (B5 cancelled series), etc. Nowadays, you can usually download a show within days, sometimes hours, after it's broadcast somewhere else. It's also a good way to see foreign films that might never come to your country and Anime (if you are into that at all).

Well actually I like also nonsensical comedies, Seinfeld / The Simpsons / South Park. I kinda liked Friends but not that much. In the British section I can add "Midsummer Murders", which happens to be broadcast here on the Hallmark channel.

The most popular shows in Israel lately seem to be reality shows of all kinds :blah: I never watched these. Previously we used to have local Israeli satiric shows like ארץ נהדרת ("wonderful country") and החמישיה הקאמרית ("the chamber quintet", nothing to do with music :P ), which I liked, but most of them lose their touch after a while and are abandoned by the public as well as me.
