Me too. It wasn't my favorite, but it was somewhat funny. Same thing for Seinfield. (sp?)

I haven't really got the time for TV shows, but Tuesdays between 8 and 10 pm are sacred as "Desperate Houseviwes" and "Ugly Betty" are aired then. :-D I used to follow "Kyle XY" and really enjoyed the show, but got lost somewhere in the second season after missing just one littl episode, and I love "That 70's Show", but it's aired before I get home from uni and work so I have sort of given up on watching them on TV and buy the seasons on DVD instead...

I used to watch Comadaidh Òir, a Scottish Gaelic comedy show, and I loved "My Family", an awesome show - I love the actress playing Susan, have forgotten her name, but she's playing Madame Hooch in Harry Potter as well.

Those are the show's I usually watch when I've the time - occassionally I watch Dr Who as well, and "8 Simple Rules (for Dating my Daughter)"

No! Early 20th century! And it was first shown here too in the 90's when I was little that's why I have so good memories concerning this.

I've discovered Malcolm in the Middle. It's my new favorite show.

Also:
Futurama
Naked Archaeologist
Sabado Gigante! (It's a variety show from Mexico, I like to brush up my non-existent Spanish)
Family Guy

I pretty much just have these on when doing homework and stuff, cuz I hate sitting in the quiet. :P

Well...all of my favorite shows are done until January or February. The Amazing Race 14, and Survivor 18 (Tocantins) start is February, and then Lost, and The Office start in January. That's pretty much all I'll be watching next season.

Too bad the Goddess Crystal Cox!! lost Survivor. :(

Desperate Housewives, Prison Break, Lost, Heroes, Friends (some episodes were really funny but definitely not all, like first season was extremely boring), Seinfeld, Supernatural, Kyle XY, New adventures of old Christine (I don't like all), Arrested Development, Dexter (one of the best I've seen), Sex and the City, Ally McBeal... Also "Heartbreak high", that was my favorite show when I was in high school. I've followed also "Compañeros" and " Un paso adelante". And "Otvorena vrata", the best Serbian serie ever! So intelligent and funny, masterpiece! :D

Have you guys seen the last 2 episodes of SGA yet(preair versions can be found all around the internet)? It was a bit weird to see it go, I really loved the show :(. The series finale wasn't as good as I had expected but it was still good enough. And the 5x19 ('Vegas') kicked ass imho. There should have been more episodes like that. It had that very peculiar yet "elevating" feeling to it. And the last few minutes (scene in the desert) were really priceless :).

I love the IT Crowd! It's so funny. I can't understand it without subtitles, though.

@Anesthesia: Compañeros was really cool!! I liked it, and I loved Quimi :D Un paso adelante wasn't my cup of tea, though, even though in France it was really successful.

Hmm, why that? They speak very clear standard English, in my opinion.
Try Black Books, too, it was co-written by the same person.

Well, I am more used to American English than to British, but anyway I understand Jen and Moss more or less fine. I find it more difficult to understand Roy (is his accent very Irish?).

I agree! IT-Crowd was okay when it started out, but now it's just awesome! Same with Black Books. :D

Hehe, I also loved Quimi! But I loved Martín the most! He is so adorable! :D  And Luismi, he had maybe the best character. And I agree, Un paso adelante was really relaxing, but Compañeros is a better serie. (with better actors also :) )

TV Shows

Postby kibo » 2011-01-08, 16:03

I searched the forums and I couldn't find any topic in which we could discuss our favourite TV shows, so I decided to open one. :P Let's just continue in this topic :P

Let's talk about:
- Which TV shows are you currently following (not necessarily on tv ;-))
- Do you have any favourite TV shows of all time
- What is popular on TV in your country

Just don't provide download links (though I guess Youtube is fine).

As for myself, since I don't really have much time, I am currently only following Fringe and Desperate Housewives (although DH is getting ridiculously boring) and I'm planing to start with Modern Family. Then there are animated series like the Simpsons, Family Guy, South Park (but I usually wait until the season is over to watch them).

I'd love to get recommendations about TV shows in other languages too. :)

I opened a thread about TV series a couple of years ago :P

Series I currently watch:

- How I met your mother (USA). Love it, though the 6th season isn't as good as the previous ones, IMHO.
- Física o química (Spain). Grown to love it. It's got very high audience ratings here in Spain, it's a pretty popular teenage TV series. The 6th season ended a couple of weeks ago; I'm currently watching the 5th one on the Internet.
- La pecera de Eva (Spain). I find this one amazing. Also with high-school related topics, but the main character is the school psychologist. The chapters evolve around the kids' psychic issues. The 3rd season just finished on TV. I'm beginning to watch said season.
- The Simpsons (USA)
- Futurama (USA). Love it even more than The Simpsons.
- Every now and then: Family guy, American dad

Series I used to watch and loved:

- The IT crowd (UK)
- Roswell (USA)
- Türkisch für Anfänger (Germany)
- Friends (USA)
- Caroline in the City (USA)
- Ellen (USA)
- Popular (USA)
- Daria (animated, USA)

Thanks, I didn't search for the word "series". The threads are merged now. :)

Yes, I forgot Futurama, it's nice that they revived it. :D
