I remember when there were threads made specifically to discuss that year's Eurovision, with some of the most active participants not being European. Eurovision is also what inspired the Forum Song Contest, see the very first line from the very first Forum Song Contest.
You'll also notice that we often bring up on the threads about Eurovision how much we hate it for being mostly in English and how cringey some of its songs are.
This particular discussion started when somebody nominated a Eurovision song (that, for the record, wasn't in English), so clearly not everybody hates it.
