I didn't do the math, but this might be the last year where Eid, Hanukkah and Christmas all fall on the same month.
Anyway, Eid al adha is tomorrow! So happy eid!
and happy hanukkah and christmas in advance. =)
Are there any other holidays coming up?

happy Eid?

Next celebration in the Christian calendar is New years so nothing here. And what do you mean it's the last year they fall on the same month? The three calendars operate on different year lengths but they will return to this state...or did you mean they've been falling on the same month for some years now but no longer...if so...which calendar's month did you mean?

(not the forum for it I know, but is it true in Saudi Arabia, women can't drive on public streets?)

PS happy everything to everyone

Well, I don't know about the different calendars, but the Hijri one moves around. It shifts upward passing by the different months of a fixed calendar like the Christian one. So, it's been a couple years where Eid al adha has been on December, but is constantly shifting upwards. That's what I meant. Sorry if I wasn't clear.

(Yes, it's true.. which entails that 100% of the car accidents over here are caused by men.
But that might change soon.. or so I hear.)

happy everything to everyone :)

Eid al-Ghadir is coming up (18 Dhu al-Hijjah / 16 December this year) but I know most people in Saudi don't celebrate it. ;) However, it's an important holiday for Shi'a!

Let's see:

- Holiday from work
- Endless amounts of treats and good foods
- Presents
- Seeing family since too long
- Everybody in a good mood
- Candles, lanterns, spruce tree bringing atmosphere

I don't see anything bad in this equation, and it's a pity it ends so quickly :).

A slightly belated merry Christmas to everyone :D!
