Halloween Costumes!

Yeah! They'll get the good looks from Petri and the... let's just say brain so that we actually accredit Fuling for something, even though I literary scraped it oot of Fuling's head They'll make such a cute little family. Now why did I forget my camera at me grannies when I visited them? Would have been nice with a photo - I don't want to force your Petri into marrying my Fuling just because they're both pumpkins.

At our age? I mean, with teenagers, there certainly is this kind of pressure, but among students, adults? Well, maybe I'm not the most average person in this regard, I don't care about having as many friends as possible, I like having really good friends, and I like spending time talking to them, meeting at home or in a nice café... (actually, some of my best friends live a long way away from me, in Scotland for example, so seeing them usually means spending a holiday there)
I've never considered parties to be very important for socialising. At university you usually first meet new people in your classes, and then if you like each other you maybe go and have a coffee together, and if you really become friends, you meet for a cosy chat at home or you spend an afternoon in town, etc. Parties don't play a big role in all that, do they? And well, about the whole flirting business - I'm happily married anyway, so I'm not interested in that

At least here, people rarely make friends in classes. Almost all friend making activity is done at parties or with people in the same club(s) as you.

I didn't dress up as anything, but I smoked my pipe all night and got compliments about that. Also, one of my friends dressed up as me.

I'm not really into Halloween, but we had so much fun this year! When I got home, I went over to my friends house where we carved pumpkins and decorated her house (decorations are usually 50-75% marked down on Halloween). Then I went trick-or-treating with the swim team, as a nudist colony on strike (we just wore the clothes we wore that day) with all of their younger brothers and sisters.

Wow, that's the most fun I've ever had on Halloween.

I went to West Hollywood for Halloween. It was EPIC!

Oh yeah, and I dressed up as a pharaoh.

2 cameraphones and one actual camera along for the evening, and this is the only picture of me in my costume. Actually, the idea that adults dress up in costumes *thrills* me, and I dress up every single year. This is the ONLY picture of me in existence of me in a costume. I have no idea how.

Can't even see the whole costume.

Anyway, I'm Wednesday Addams. Not very exciting, considering I was Gordan Freeman last year... We used hair colour spray stuff in my hair, and I left black patches on everything I touched.

Thank god, that part of the tradition hasn't reached us yet. We only borrowed the silly costumes and the pointless drinking - which is why I don't have anything bad to say about Halloween.

About my thoughts. I am not home for all this giving out of candy every year, anyway.

The latter Alone I can't represent such a fine mix of nations. Anywho, I'm Frittish which means sure I was born in England but by now I'm a (self-declared) honourary Finn

Trapy, no. These stupid tradition-importing kids don't know anything like that. They just disturb anyway. That's what happens when you copy things (Halloween) without actually knowing anything about it.

We just simply turn the porch light off in that case to keep kids away. Not all listen though, so in that case, we just disable the doorbell and go to a room far away where we can't hear the door knock. Music on as well.

A friend from Australia wrote a sign on her door to scare off the kids: "We don't do Halloween. Praise the Lord."

She's not even religious.

It's funny...a trick actually gave me a treat on Halloween, in the form of a sweet tart. The night just got better from there...

In France, we celebrate less and less Halloween. 3 or 4 years ago, Towns organized its. I ever saw many people with funny fancy dress but now, not anymore ! That's really a pity, cause Halloween is a funny event. So, that was my point of view :p

My father told me during the weekend that while they were visiting a friend near Hamburg, lots of kids went around trick or treating. They just didn't give up and rang all the time which my father and everyone else found absolutely annoying. My father wondered if such a behaviour isn't seem as part of the "trick or treating".
Here, nobody rang at all.
