Hello Unilang!

Postby Faen LeBier » 2008-08-08, 9:01

Hello everyone.
I was not sure where to put this message, so I'm sorry if this is not the right place.

Anyway, I'm new to this forum and I'd like to introduce myself.

I'm not going to say where I'm fron since I don't be associated with any country on this forum. You see, all you need to know is that I'm an Earthling and that I love people and all the cultures of the world.
We are just one only heart beating at the same time.
I stronly believe that the end of the human era is reaching its end, so let's forget all the differences that divide us and let's bring ourselfs together and celebrate before our day is over.
:D

OK, I'm here to practice and learn a bunch of languages I'm interested in.
First, I'd like to practice my English. I'm also learning all major Romance languages and would like to learn some Germanic languages as well, being them my favourite ones! I'm focusing on Swedish right now.
I would also like to start learning Mandarin.

That's all, folks!

You're on the right forum here, at least, when someone wants to introduce him/herself it usually happens here :)

So: welkom!

Doesn't it feel a bit scary to be an Earthling, isn't it something too big to grasp?
Native: Dutch
Learns: Latin and French
Knows also (a bit): English, German, Turkish, Danish

Corrections appreciated.

Thanks, Vogelfrij!

No, why would it be scary? The earth is my home and all beings living in my home are my family. My job is to bring family together! Learning languages is so exciting. I wish we could live way longer in order to be able to learn all human languages (yeah, an eternity may be needed) and to learn of other cultures, to immerse myself in every different culture.
I would just love to wake up one day in China and be Chinese and then be Russian, etc...

Because if you're an Earthling, you never really belong to one of those cultures you find so interesting

Now I'm going to spend my time here trying to guess where you're from. Yes I'm that bored

But welcome anyway.

... or a foreigner everywhere, depending on your point of view.

@Faen: Welcome! :) I get what you mean about not wanting to say where you're from. I find it hard not to tell on Unilang though when questions concerning native language etc. come up.

Hehehe thanks everybody!
Since you people are really curious, I'll give you a clue. Look at my nickname, it has 3 words from 3 different languages. Well, neither of those 3 languages is my mothertongue
