Lately, I try to improve my knowledge of the languages I'm learning by listening to podcasts. So far, I mostly listened to news (L'essentiel de l'info by Europe 1 - French - and Dagsnytt by NRK - Norwegian). But I don't only want to listen to news, especially since the quality and the volume varies too much. Correspondents reporting from a place are harder to understand because of it.
In Norwegian, I like Språkteigen.

Which podcasts do you like? I'm especially interested in podcasts in French, Spanish or Norwegian.
Please correct my mistakes!

Oh, I'd be interested in that, too, since I need something to listen to in the car from and to work, and I've already listened to all my CDs at least once. :)

Voici quelques émissions baladodiffusées de la radio de Radio-Canada.
Une fois sur le site de l'émission choisie, il y aura un lien vers la baladodiffusion en mp3.

Do you need to download a programme to listen to podcasts?

Not necessarily, although it is a lot easier to get the files with programmes such as Juice, which is the one I use.

Yabba suggested that one too - the juice :D . So you can listen to podcasts without downloading anything too?

Footnote: I was just wondering - with all the internet radio stations around - do the owners of these stations have to pay anything so they can play other people's music? I know they were trying to enforce such a law for traditional radio stations here. But I think it wasn't accepted then.

Huh? At least here traditional radio stations absolutely pay a fee for every single piece of music when it's due :?.

Häh? Ainakin täällä perinteiset radioasemat ehdottomasti maksavat joka ikisestä musiikkikappaleesta kun niin kuuluu tehdä :?.

Well, I'm not sure what happened with this law. I think the national radio stations were paying something before as well. The problem was with all those small local radio stations that were popping up like mushrooms after rain for a while.

It seems that you're supposed to pay something, but I really don't know, I've tried googling but I haven't found much on this.

So do internet radio stations have to pay something as well? I guess they don't have to?

Can anyone recomend any podcasts for Business English, Business French, Spanish (Hispanorama doesn't seem to be updated any longer)? Preferably more than once a week. I'm also looking for Danish, Swedish, Italian and Portuguese podcasts, here, once a week would be fine, too.

I'm also looking for audio books in French, Spanish, Norwegian, Danish, Swedish, Italian or Portuguese.

Anything is fine as long as it doesn't make me fall asleep (*cough* 2000 ans d'histoire *cough*).

Do you have iTunes? Look for SR or SVT - they have good Swedish podcasts that you could watch online. And you could listen to Swedish Radio on http://www.sr.se or watch Swedish television for free on SVT

No, I have a ZEN and use the software that comes with it (and I'm absolutely happy with it).
I saw that SR/SVT have many podcasts, anything you can recommend?

All the news podcasts are good, and I would reccommend "Språket", a radio podcast on language, and "Plus", mainly because the presenter speaks with a Westrobothnian accent
"Spanarna" is funny, "Morgonpasset" is good...

Thanks, I'll try them out. I really like NRK's Språkteigen, so Språket sounds nice, too.

Podcasts is what made learning a new language very easy for me!
I've got quite a few listed somewhere..
I'll list down a couple of my favorites

Radio France International: http://www.rfi.fr/lfen/statiques/accueil.asp
This has loads of fun activities and really neat stuff. It also has a simplified version of their news along with a script so you can read along. You can also listen to their online radio station.

Radio Lingua Network: http://radiolingua.com/ourpodcasts/index.html
Here are some of my favorite language learning podcasts. You can find audio files as well as some pdf. guides.

So, I hope those are useful and if I come across some other links I have, I'll be posting them over here.
