"I love you" in your conlang?

Postby Irkan » 2012-05-26, 15:59

Well, I think it's clear. THe main aim of this post is to see how one of the most important sentences sounds in your conlang: "I love you" the most essential thing after: Ha-Vara nan'ai thoaretho (Where's the toilet?). So, post your "I love you" here. I start:

Reyan: Zha umamerind ya [ˌʒ‿umameˈɾĩn̪ ja]
Hiranai: Shidai ne [ˈʃiðäi̯ ˌne] (It literally means "You are beloved")

C'mon, post and share your love(?)~♥

Actually this was not only aimed at you...The thing is that the sentences are quite short and I think it would be a great idea to have a file where you can listen to all conlangs of all users so that you can compare and find out whether your transcriptions are read just like they were intended to be read. If I had a microphrone, I would have already uploaded a recording of myself. Maybe I'll manage to get one in the next few days :ohwell:

This sounds like it could be interesting. I might give it a go when I get home.

Haha
I don't deny that I really admire the Navajo, but my conlang is completely different. Certainly it has a similar spelling, but I didn't use any word with "Navajo origin" in my conlang. It's almost entirely a priori.

Ænü rífenna Þü
IPA: [aɪnuː riːfɛnna θuː]

Not a clue whether the IPA is right, I'll have to learn it properly.

Guys! I gotta say I've just noticed there's a mistake in my Hiranai version of "I love you." It's not shidai ne, but shidai age [ˈʃiðäˌjäɣe̞]

About this idea... Simply fantastic!

As I created the topic... I'll start!
