You said elsewhere you didn't want Selvesco to be a cookie cutter Romance language, did you not?Dormouse559 wrote:Wales - (Paés de) Gales [paˈɛs de ˈgalɛs] [paˈeː ˈdgaliː]

It's interesting to find that a single country name is enough to make it into a cookie-cutter Romance language. I'll take note of that. In any case though, I've never said that I wanted Selvesco to be innovative in every respect (or every last country name).Llawygath wrote:You said elsewhere you didn't want Selvesco to be a cookie cutter Romance language, did you not?
Wow, no need to bite. I made an honest mistake. I'm sorry. You'll find my post edited accordingly.Llawygath wrote:Subdivisions of the UK my foot, by the way. It's three separate countries. We will be happier if you acknowledge that. Thank you.

Sorry I said anything. I seem to be too bitey. Anyway, thanks for editing your post. I think I feel too strongly about things that don't involve me at all.Dormouse559 wrote:It's interesting to find that a single country name is enough to make it into a cookie-cutter Romance language. No idea. I actually wondered about that myself. I certainly don't claim to be an expert on your country -- I just have opinions about it that are too strong for my own good and don't fit with my nationality, and it was bound to bother someone sooner or later.ffrench wrote:Who's 'we'?
Okay, okay, four countries. Whoops. Sorry, I can't help thinking of Northern Ireland as being part of Ireland as opposed to part of the UK, so I go around saying that the UK has 3 countries. Time to get in step with the twenty-first century, I guess.ffrench wrote:Which of England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland did you forget to count?
