Ќе се најде се некој, кој да ти помага тука. Јас би ти помагал, но не сум роден говорник и затоа не сум сигурен, дали можам да ти бидам многу од помош. Но ако имаш прашања, прашај - ќе ти одговорам, ако можам. :)

Sono ancora qui (a volte), ma probabilmente non ti voglio parlare.

Да, така е - кога учиш јазик, е многу важно некој да ти помага, инаку си изгубен.

Ja, förstås har du använt google translate - тоа е видливо. :P

Hello, could anyone translate the folk song lyrics below, please?

It's a Bulgarian and Macedonian folk song and somehow I happened to find the lyrics in Macedonian (though this sounds veeery similar). The eastern South Slavic varieties are among the least penetrable Slavic languages for me and google translator isn't doing a good job at all.

Wonderful song! I can attempt a translation, although I never studied Macedonian or Bulgarian, BCS only, so take it with a grain of salt.

Шарена гајда
Colorful gajda (bagpipe)

Ценив се у попа да му чувам гуските.
I bargained with the pope to graze his geese.
Ценив се у попа да му чувам гуските.

Шарена гајда изшарана, сас монистра нанижана.
Colorful bagpipe, painted, decorated with beads
Шарена гајда изшарана, сас монистра нанижана.
Зумбај, зум-ба-ба!

Откара ги долови куде вода не тече,
I took them out far away where water does not flow.
куде вода не тече, куде трева не ница.
where water does not flow, where grass does not grow

Оздол иде попиште, врти очи ќо плочи.
Along came the pope (pejorative), rolling his eyes like discs.
Оздол иде попиште, врти очи ќо плочи.

Два шамара ми удри, гуските ми отера,
He slapped me twice, and drove away my geese
гуските ми отера, гајдата ми ја зема.
Drove away my geese, and took away my gajda.

========================================
I seem to be able to hear the first part of the song too:

Од дома до чаршия тръгна с гайда шарена
From home to the marketplace I set off with the colorful gajda
на работа да ида, и на гайда да свира.
To go to work, and to play the gajda

I hope it makes sense. :)

Many thanks, can you hear the second line of the refrain too? It sounds to me like свира, пея хоро игра.

The Polish band Jar plays its own version of it, that's how I've found the song:

Again I've got lots of stuff to look up in an etymological dictionary...

I lived in Macedonia for several years. I picked up basic Macedonian, enough to converse, and my pronunciation is pretty good, but I'm kicking myself for not going further with the language. I plan to make up for lost time by learning a bit more. :)

hello! I want to learn Macedonian and i can't understand grammer. :yep:
example : сакам да видам јас = i want to see
but why сакам да го видам јас? what does mean "го"?
or сакам да ги видам јас? what does mean "ги"? :?
and сакам да ја видам јас? what does mean "ја"?

and I want to know too past tense verb conjugations.
i knew = јас знаев (but I'm a girl and want to know that I have to use like this or not "јас знаела"?) :?:
you knew= ти знаев (but if there's a girl , I have to use like this or not "ти знаела"?) :?:

сакам да видам (јас) = I want to see.
сакам да го видам (јас) = I want to see him.
сакам да ги видам (јас) = I want to see them
сакам да ја видам (јас) = I want to see her

There is a total mess in your head.
So:
јас знаев, ти знаеше, тој/таа знаеше are imperfect tense forms - I knew, you knew, he/she knew - There is no gender distinction between the forms.
And:
јас сум знаел/а (m/f), ти си знаел/а (m/f), тој знал (m), таа знала (m) are Present perfect tense forms - I have known, you have known, he/she has known etc.
