Apart from English and Ghanaian Pidgin English, many languages are spoken in Ghana. Most of them are Mabia languages, particularly from the Oti-Volta or Grũsi branches. Other languages that are widespread in Ghana include Ghanaian Sign Language, Hausa, Maasina Fulfulde, Akan, and Ewe. Also spoken are the Senufo language, Nafaanra, and the Kulango language, Bondoukou Kulango.

There are also two Mande languages spoken. One is Bisa, just barely spilling over from the borders with Burkina Faso and Togo, and the other is Ligbi, near the center of the country but closer to the border with Ivory Coast. The remaining languages are Kwa languages. Akan and Ewe are also Kwa languages.
