Why are you interested in learning Qazaq?

Awesome! You always make me laughing and feel good! But for sure, I made this questionary just to know people's real intents and what motivation is behind. Them are abundant in other subforums as well. Its not unique. But its indicative.

It's very hard to find any resources on this language , but I m interested in culture of this region, so I though to myself why not.
I see it's similar to Turkish, so it may be not so hard.

I began learning the language in 2002 because I adopted a teenager from Kazakhstan, and she only spoke Kazakh and Russian. Also, while we were in the country during the very long adoption process, my wife gave birth to a son. So we have 2 Kazakh children, one adopted and one born to us while there.

My adopted daughter is now grown up and married, and does not use her Kazakh language much any more. My son is very proud of his Kazakh birthplace, and he is very interested in the country and the language.

I've thought about learning Kazakh before. I like Central Asia; there's nothing specific to the Turkic languages that intrigues me too much.
