Malayalam - language question

Postby Blabla » 2019-10-04, 10:04

Hallo everyone,

Does Malayalam, like English, use the same word to refer to hair that grows on your head and to hair that grows elsewhere on the body, or does it have separate words?

And does Malayalam, use the same word to refer to fingers and to toes (perhaps saying 'fingers of the foot' or something like that)?

Thank you.

It has separate words at least for head hair vs. facial hair vs. pubic hair vs. fur/feathers.

Yes.
