My first question for you all, is would anyone be interested in me posting lessons in some of these languages? I'm not a native speaker in any of them, but I would still be happy to post some lessons. The ones I currently have engough resources to do it with are : Bengali, Tamil, Nepali and Panjabi.

Anyone know of a good two-way dictionary for Panjabi? (Preferably English<->Panjabi)

No, and I've looked. Shabdkosh is improving, though. Gurbani is still more comprehensive, but far less user-friendly.

I had a feeling someone would say that. From what I saw, Shabdkosh did look pretty good though. Thanks!

There is this one, but I doubt it's any good:

There's the Pattiala dictionary.

No worries! :D I heartily recommend it to any Punjabi learner - I would be lost without it. It has both Gurmukhi and Shahmukhi (although I've heard there are some mistakes in the Shahmukhi), and it even allows a "fuzzy search" for when you're not really sure how to spell a word (common for me when I'm looking at song lyrics or other colloquial texts, because they're usually in the sort of ad-hoc romanisation you have to get used to on the Punjabi internet).

Oh thats good! Yeah I noticed some Punjabi words aren't standarized so there can be more than one spelling, especially online. Google translate just added Punjabi but so far it looks terrible lol. I'm probably going to get this dictionary though :)

This isn't language related, but can anyone recommend a book on Afghanistan's history which isn't just about wars or Western invasions?

I like this one:
http://www.amazon.com/Afghanistan-Short ... an+history

It's pretty short, but I like it a lot. There's another one I have that I love but i can't find it. It's called Afghanistan and has a picture of the famous national geogrpahic afghan girl on it. Its a little dry but pretty good as well.
