Burushaski

Is anyone else interested in this language isolate? :D

I just came across this site, which has glossed texts, a grammar sketch, and word lists, all in English.

I'm also seriously considering purchasing this.

I love minority languages, and language isolates even more (Basque, for example), and find Burushaski very interesting.

Additionally, do any Urdu speakers know of any Burushaski materials in Urdu?

This isn't much, but it's the first thing I ever heard in Burushaski: a discussion on Burushaski in Burushaski! (No subtitles or anything, unfortunately :P)

I keep hearing the word "bash", and wonder if it's a loanword from Sanskrit "bhasa" - "language".

I don't think anyone will complain about a song here, especially on this subforum.

Well, while organizing my Language Materials folder, I took a peek in my Burushaski folder (which was probably a bad idea as it brought back my interest in it  ) and decided to check WorldCat to see if any libraries in the US have the 3 volume series in German on Burushaski. Turns out several do, so I sent an Interlibrary Loan request to my county's library system to see if they could get the series, or at least the dictionary, so wish me luck!

The website with texts I posted before has a ton of texts with glosses and translations into English for every line, but a lot of letters with diacritics are missing, and without a proper dictionary it would be very difficult to figure out what those words are supposed to be. So, I figure if I can at least get the German<>Burushaski dictionary, I can use the grammar sketch I have and the glosses to learn grammar, the texts to learn the words and usage, and the dictionary to look up and learn words. If they can get me all 3 volumes, then the 1st volume (grammar) and 2nd (texts with translations) would help even more, but I could make do with just the dictionary. I've been dying to learn Burushaski since before I made this thread, so I really hope I can get the books.

Burushaski is the name of my email address. :)
I am fond of language isolates though I don't know why. I am learning basque.

Here's another song in Burushaski from 2012. It's much shorter than the other one that was posted here earlier. :P

Here's another with the lyrics written out in Burushaski with a translation into Urdu for each verse:

This is another video of a song in Burushaski with the translations of each verse shown in Urdu and English (but without any lyrics written in Burushaski itself):
