One of the great things about learning Tamil is that it has a huge film industry. So I thought this topic would be great. I will try to find links on youtube that has Tamil movies with English Subtitles (and its legal since useually it's own company puts it on youtube ). Also in this topic, we can recommend films to each other and put reviews and thoughts on Tamil Films.

1) Kandukondein Kandukondein -Aishwarya Rai, Tabu
This is a remake of Sense and Sensiblity. This is a nice movie. On eof my favorites.

This is my second favorite Tamil Movie. Its about a Hindu man who falls in love with a Malayli Christian girl. Great music and Great story.

4)Kannathil muthamittal-Simran, Nandita Das, R. Madhavan
This is my favorite Tamil movie or perhaps my favorite movie in generel. It is about a little girls who goes to war torn Sri Lanka to find her real mother. I highly recomend this movie for first time Tamil film watchers.
