My daily Bengali journal
আসার প্রাত্যহিক বাংলা দৈনিক সংবাকপএ

I didn’t notice any funds missing from my account so I need to call my insurance company to make sure my most recent transaction went through.
আমাএ তীরের প্রপ্তে অন্য ধরা ভাণ্ডার পযবেক্ষণ করিনি সুতরাং অমার সবচেযে অত্যাধুনিক লেনদেন যাওয়া বস্ত নিশ্চিত হতে অমার বিমার সংসগে ডাকার দরকার অছে.


I know there is a native Bengali speaker here so I hope he helps me with my journal entries.
এথানে অধিবাসী বাংলা ভাষক আছে জানি সুতরাং অমার বাংলা দৈনিক সংবাকপএ সহ সাহায্য করা ভরসা করি.

I just finished studying Bengali after studying it all day. I want to study something else (lit. ‘another thing’) but I know there are a lot of things that I have to do. I’m only writing this for practice. I have to practice speaking and writing Bengali or I might forget everything that I learned.

সারা দিন শেখা পরে বাংলা শেখা এক্ষণি শেষ করলাম. ভিন্নতর বস্তু শিখতে চাই কিন্তু শিখতে (করতে) হবে বস্তু প্রচুর আছে জানি. কেবল অত্যাস করা এটা লিখছি. প্রতিদিন বাংলা লেখা এবং বলা অণু শিখতে হবে. অথবা সবকিছু শিখলাম ভুলে য়াওযা য়াব.

My wife left to return to her home country for a vacation today. I feel so lonely without her.
পরিত্যাগ করতে আসার পতী এর দেশে ফিবে হতে কোনেছে. ওর বিনা নিংসগ স্পশা দ্বারি.

I was 30 minutes late for work today because I overslept. Well, at least I went anyway.
অতিরিত্ত সময় ঘুমেছি কেননা ৩০ মিনিড বিলস্বিত আছে. --, -- ষেকোনো ভাবে গেছি.

আজ বাড়িটা সযস্ত আমাও আছে. সং বস্ত করতে দল করা স্হলে করতে হবে সদুশ পড়বো.

Today I spent nearly 4 hours helping an online language friend of mine troubleshoot her computer.
আজ হিসাবকারি নিবদ্ধ কসতে অমার online বন্ধু প্রায় ৪ঘগ্টা সাহাষা করেছি.

Today I spoke with my girlfriend, who is still visiting her home country thousands of miles away from me, via webcam.
আজ ইনডেরনেড ক্যামেরা কাছে হাজার মাইল দুরবতী খেকে আমি ওর দেশ নিশ্চল দিখছি অমার বালিকা বন্ধু সহ বুলেছি.

I woke up this morning and found out that a tsunami is heading my way. Scary!
এতা প্রভাত জাগতে আমার সড়কতে ঝড় যাওয়া আবিস্কার করেছি. চরম ভীত আছে.

Hey kman, do you use Teach Yourself Bengali? Which resources do you use? What online dictionary do you use? It would be very helpful for me

yes, I use Teach Yourself Bengali but I also have a native speaker whom I speak with kinda regularly. The only problem with her is that she doesn't type in Bengali. She always writes the corrections for my Bengali writing in English letters and I hate it to death!! That is why I don't show my journal entries for Bengali to her. I think it is a waste of my time to transliterate all of my entries into English. So, we practice Bengali but I have to find another native who actually types in Bengali to correct my writing.

আমি ঠিক চিস্তা করেছি সদুশ প্রত্যেক ব্যত্তি বলছিলাম tsunami কিছু-না প্রমাশিত হয়ে গেছে.

I am so tired today. I think it is because I work around propane and it is making my head ache a lot now.
আমি অতি শ্রাস্ত আছে. প্রোপেন গ্যেস চতুদিকে কাজ কারি সে-কারণে চিস্তা করছি. আর এথন যস্তক ব্যখা কর __ . ??
I'm not sure how to form causatives/passive-causatives in Bangla...

I am beginning to worry about my brother-in-law since I haven’t seen or heard anything from him in about four to five days.
চার আউর পাঁচ দিন কিছু-না দিখিনি আউর শুনিনি সে-কারণে আমার বেবাহিক সূত্রে ভাই এখানে-সেখানে কষ্ট পেতে শ্তর করছি.

Apartment in bangla is " কক্ষ" or "এপার্টমেন্ট" acroding to my dictonary.

I need to figure out a way to not forget the grammar corrections that I have received while I continue to write my current journal entries.
আমার প্রচলিত র্দেনিক সংবাদপত্র প্রবেশ চলতে থাকতে লিখি তখন পেলাম ব্যাকরণ সংশোপ্রন ভুলে যাএনা সড়ক ক্শপনা করতে হএ.

My friend asked me to go swimming with sharks yesterday. I told him I don’t do things like that because things like that is crazy!
গতকাল আমার বন্কুং হাস্কর সহ আমকে সাঁতার কাটতে হেতে জিঙ্তাসা করলো. এতা বস্ত্ত বাতিকগ্রস্ত আছে সে-কারণে এতা বস্ত্ত করিনা একে বল্লাম.

My hands stink when I cleaned my apartment earlier today because of the gloves I used.
ব্যবহার করলাম দস্তানারা সে-কারণে __ আজ আমার কক্ষ পরিস্তার করলাম তখন হাতদর তথবল.
How do you express adverbs such 'earlier' in Bangla?
