Does anyone have any recommendations for a good site on Tagalog grammar? I only know of the SEAsite one.

Hello, ako si Caireign. Nag-aral ako ng Tagalog sa mula April ngayon taon. Alam ko mahirap pero nagsasaya. Gusto ko pumunta sa Pilipinas isang araw.

Mag-aral ako gamit ang Internet, Rosetta Stone, Living Languages at Pimsular. Hindi pa mabuti ang gramatika ko. ^^;

Is there a Tagalog translation game in the forum?

Not really sure what I can do with Tagalog on this forum, but I noticed this:
Æren wrote:I started with the online course in seasite.niu.edu (7 years ago wooh!).
Now I am sticking to Basic Tagalog for Foreigners and Non-Tagalogs.

I've been using both of these, too (usually alternating between them with long gaps between one or the other).

You're lucky. I have the 1969 edition. It sucks! :lol:

Maybe Easy Languages can be helpful:

Tbh, I posted another one of their videos on r/tagalog, and a native speaker told me that the guy in the Easy Filipino videos talks WAY too fast. Maybe this might be useful, though.

New vocab for me btw:
barely surviving = nakakaraos naman
just surviving = humihinga pa
good (enough?) = maigi
see you tomorrow (calque on Spanish?) = hanggang bukas
quick = maagap
diligent = masipag
ceiling = kisame
flower = bulaklak
door = pintô/pintuan
mountain = bundok
grass = damo
garlic = bawang
soy sauce = toyo (from Hokkien 豆油 tāu-iû!)
beans = sitaw
squash = kalabasa
cabbage = repolyo
call = tawag
give me a call, okay? = tawagan mo na lang ako
tree = punong kahoy
wall = pader
sky = langit
compassion, mercy, pity = awa
president = pangulo
male vendor of some kind = tindero
wife, (home)owner = maybahay
to wait = teka or hintay
to wait briefly = antay
so it's you! = ikaw pala!
