I would like to know about the basic rules in Maori grammar?

If you look at the Ko Te Marae Reo Maori - The Maori Language Marae thread which has been stickied and is at the top of the page you'll find some basic grammar information on the language.

Heoti ano,

Na te kaiwhakahaere o tenei tutanga o te papa panui nei.
Linguicide IS genocide. :)

He ingoa ōpaki a Riki; he ingoa ōkawa a Ariki.

Riki is an informal name; Ariki is a formal name.
