Old Norse query

Postby Hughesey83 » 2018-09-30, 9:30

Hi all,

First time posting here. I had a question, or rather a request for help if anyone can oblige?

My girlfriend is wanting a tattoo behind her ear and is wanting something small, and has decided she wants something from the elder futhark because they’re simple and have multiple meanings. She’s also absolutely crazy about horse riding and has decided she wants something horsey. She’s noticed the rune for horse just looks like an ‘m’ in English so wanted something a bit more exciting, so has asked me to ask if anyone knows what the word ‘mare’ is in elder futhark?

Any help would be appreciated guys!

Thanks

The Old Norse word is merr. As for the runes, that's easy enough to figure out.
