Does anyone know if there is any manga or comics in Irish?

I know of An Táin and these others: An Sclábhaí, An Teachtaire, An Tóraíocht and Deirdre agus Mic Uisnigh.

Wow I didn't think there would be any! Thanks, now we need Japanese Manga in Irish!

This would help me in learning Irish a lot. Thanks a lot :).

Is there a healthy comic industry in Ireland?

Unfortunately I don't read any comics so I wouldn't be someone to answer this. However, my impression/assumption is that the 'industry' is quite small, even taking into consideration our small population. I think you could count the number of sci-fi/comic/role-play/board-game shops on both hands.

Yes, there's the ones already mentioned, which are done by Colman Ó Raghallaigh: An Táin; An Sclábhaí, Tóraíocht Dhiarmada agus Ghráinne; and one or two others. They're fantastic!

There's also a comic book called Rí-Rá, although I'd say it's aimed more at kids.

There's no manga, though, to the best of my knowledge.

(Only kidding... please feel free to correct me anytime!)

Are their any sic-fi style comics or are they all modern-day/ancient, style.

I was actually planning to translate a bunch of mangas directly from Japanese to Irish (to help both my Japanese and Irish). If I can manage a few "scanlations" I'll post links to them here.
