Well

To listen to something you have to use ''le''.

Tá mé ag éisteacht leis an raidió = I am listening to the radio

Éisteann = listens
I'm pretty sure you know ''foghlaim'' and ''teangacha''.

So:

Éisteann an duine i mo dhiaidh le ceol le teangacha a fhoghlaim

;)

That doesn't help. >< I'm trying to translate it into English, but I can't figure out what the second "le" means, nor how to fit in "a fhoghlaim".

Is it something like "The person after me listens to the languages he's learning"?

Oh. :P

Ní éistim. :)

Is breá leis an duine atá i mo dhiaidh a éiste le ceol atá chas i dteangacha eile.

In case that doesn't make any sense, "The person after me loves to listen to music that is sung in other languages."

Tá mé. Rock Danmhairgis is fear!

Molfaidh an duine i mo dhiaidh ceol éigin as Gaeilge.

No, I understand which form of each verb I used. It seems irishdictionary.ie switched the entries for the verbal noun and adjective, so that's not my fault. :|

I'm not sure if you mean it doesn't sound right In Irish or English, but "music that is sung in other languages" sounds perfectly fine in English.

Furthermore, the Learning Irish book says "cas" means either "turn", "sing, or "play" (Kinda weird, since those words are toatlly unrelated :/ ), so I'm sorry I listened to what it said. :P

Níl aithne dom amhráin ar bith as Gaeilge. :(

Is fuath leis an duine atá i mo dhiaidh an teas.

Níl breá leis an duine atá i mo dhiaidh an fíon.

Tá an ceart agat.

An duine atá i mo dhiaidh, tá sé ag iarraidh an Ghaeilge na hAlban agus/nó an Ghaeilge Mhanann a fhoghlaim.

Is there a way to shorten that at all? :oops:

Tá mé ag iarraidh an Ghaeilge na hAlba ag fhoghlaim, ach níl breá liom an Manainnis. Is sé dealramh aice le urlacan.

An duine atá i mo dhiaidh, níl sé ag iarraidh rud éigin ag shocairigh.

Níl. O.o

An duine atá i mo dhiaidh, tá sé ag iarraidh cluichí ríomhaire a imirt.

How would you strengthen "to like" in this context? Does "is brea le..." work?

Níl.

Tá an duine i mo dhiaidh dearmadach.

Is minic a bhíonn mé dearmadach, nuair a bhí mé i gConamara an tseachtain seo caite bhí mé ag lorg do mo cheamara ar feadh cúpla nóiméad agus bhí mé ag ceapadh go raibh sé caillte ach chuir mé i mo phóca é cheanna féin uair a chloig roimhe sin!

Vocabulary

an tseachtain seo caite = last week
ag lorg = looking (for something)
ceamara = camera
ar feadh = for (as in time)
caillte = lost
cheanna féin = already
cuir = to put
uair a chloig = an hour
roimhe sin = before that

Bíonn an duine i mo dhiaidh ar saoire chuile bhliain

Níl, tá meabhair mhaith agam. :)

Tá cara nach labhraíonn Béarla ar bith ag an duine atá i mo dhiaidh.

Níl mé ag ceapadh go bhfuil mórán cairde agam gan Béarla ach nuair a bhí mé in Inis Meáin casadh orm le beirt agus ní raibh mórán Béarla acu ar chor ar bith.

Vocabulary:
beirt = two people
casadh orm = I met
ar chor ar bith = at all

Tá an duine i mo dhiaidh ina chónaí sa gcósta.
