IS MÉ! Tá a ghuth an-álainn!

Is le an duine i mo dhiaidh bheith ag rith thart. (Hope that's clear)

Le (with) turns into ''leis'' before An (the)

Leis an = with the

What are you trying to say the person likes to be running about? If so:

Is maith leis an duine i mo dhiaidh bheith ag rith thart

And the answer to the question:

Ní maith liom bheith ag rith thart, is fearr liomsa mo rothar!

Níl. :P

An duine atá i mo dhiaidh, bhí aige uaim an t-am cuid mhór teangacha a fhoglaim.

It makes sense to me, but since I barely know any Irish I don't know if I expressed "had" correctly. :oops: My guess was that you put "tá" in the past tense. :)
It's supposed to mean "The person after me wishes he had time to learn many languages."

@Quevenois: I really have no idea. Although I don't care all that much, as Irish spelling is just as bad if not worse than that of English, so therefore I know what I'm getting myself into. :wink:

Damn, I knew I should have declined leis. ><
Níl, ní naois, (I want to say "not now") tá sé an samhradh.

Is maith leis an duine i mo dhiaidh ag ithe.

Is breá liom bheith ag ithe go háirithe nuair a bhíonn ocras orm!

Bíonn uaireadóir ar an duine i mo dhiaidh.

Vocabulary:

go háirithe = especially
uaireadóir = a watch
turns to bíonn when you say something is often.

The person after me wishes he had time to learn many languages

Is mian leis an duine i mo dhiaidh go raibh an t-am aige le cuid mhór teangacha a fhoghlaim
The person after me wishes he had the time to learn a lot/many languages

''Is mian le'' is a way to say ''wish'' for something.

You are doing very well with your Irish, maith thú! :waytogo:

I'm not quite sure why the "le" is there, but I understand the rest. :partyhat:
So, are you not able to use the "tá ó" form here? And thanks, I've been practicing and asking a lot. :blush: Also, does that "is mian le" form work in Connacht?

Well, since the only existing Irish verb conjugator doesn't show the present habitual or whatever it's called, I have no idea how to say "no", but no, I rarely ever wear a watch. :P

An duine atá i mo dhiadh, tá sé dubh dóite.

Assuming this is correct, how would you say "very bored"?

When something is often or on and off and something usually you would use the form bíonn

Mícheál i gConamara anois = Michael is in Connemara now
Bíonn Mícheál i gConamara chuile bhliain = Michael is in Connemara every year

Bíonn sé ag múineadh Gaeilge go minic = he teaches Irish often

Assuming this is correct, how would you say "very bored"?

An = very

an-dubh dóite = very fed up/bored

And the answer to the question:

Níl mé dubh dóite mar tá cúpla rud le déanamh agam sa mbaile

Is minic a bhíonn an duine i mo dhiaidh ag breathnú ar an teilifís

No, I meant why can't I use "tá ó" in my sentence? In this one: "Is mian leis an duine i mo dhiaidh go raibh an t-am aige le cuid mhór teangacha a fhoghlaim."

Hmm, you'd think the Irish might want to have a different form for present and progressive tenses. :P :ohwell:

Breathnaíonn an duine atá i mo dhiaidh ar fhíseáin Youtube.

Breathnaím.

Ní bhíonn an duine atá i mo dhiaidh ag staidéar teangacha go rialta.

tá fonn air Breatnais a fhoghlaim = he/she feels like learning Welsh

Tá fonn ort Breatnais a fhoghlaim
You feel like learning Welsh

Níl fonn orm Breatnais a fhoghlaim anois mar níl an t-am agam agus inné thug mé leabhar gramadach do chara liom!

Vocabulary:
cara liom = friend of mine
thug mé = I gave
Éist = to listen

Éisteann an duine i mo dhaidh le ceol le teangacha a fhoghlaim
