Languages of Colombia

The languages spoken in Colombia today belong to over 13 families and include at least four language isolates and two unclassified languages. The language isolates are Camsá, Cofán, Andoque, and Ticuna, all spoken in southern Colombia, and the unclassified languages are Puinave in the east and Carabayo in the southeast. Several Chocoan languages are spoken in western Colombia. Tucanoan languages are spoken in the Amazon to the north of where Carabayo is spoken. Chibchan languages are spoken in the north, and Cariban and especially Maipurean languages are scattered all over the east. Kakwa and Nukak are two languages in the Amazon that are known to be closely related to each other, but it's not certain how they may be related to any other languages.
