NAIL Translation Game

Translation games seem to be the new fire storm around here (admittedly I'm jumping on the bandwagon a bit late :P )

Typical translation game rules: you translate the English sentence the last person provided into whatever NAIL you know, and then you provide a new English sentence for the next person to translate.

Let's see if this takes off any better then the Multi-lingual thread. :P

It's sunny today.

The next one: Learning languages is fun.

I'm not sure I can translate that exactly into Seneca, but I'll do my best. :P

(see) Wënödeyë:sta’ gawë:nö’ yonödënetgä:dö’.
Lit. "They are learning languages and they are having fun."

I've enjoyed having this week off.

It is a difficult sentence for me, but I'll try:

(kl) Sapaatip-akunnera sulinngiffeqarpunga. Nuannerpoq. :?:
Lit. I had a week off. It was enjoyable. (I don't know how to say "I've enjoyed having" in Greenladic yet).

2nd attempt:

Nuannaraara sapaatip-akunnera sulinngiffiga. :?:
Lit. I enjoyed my week off. (I think it might be even more wrong than the first variant though) :)

The next one: His sister is at home.

It's fine. I kinda figured when I created this thread that we'd have to take some liberties when translating.

(see) Yeyëhsë’ shakoji’/shako’gë:’. (Since the age of the sister is unknown to me, I included the terms for older and younger sister.)

Grab me a glass of water.

Sounds like you're giving me coffee instead of water. :P

(see) Hotgá:nye:h hëähsëtwas. :?:

I like tea better than coffee.

Really. I don't understand why I thought you wrote "coffee" when translating. Maybe that's because I wanted coffee myself. :D
I've just changed it.

Uhh...

Michif (crg) Kanimooshoowaan li grenn kayishpayihk piko atishoowuk. :?:

That's probably complete gibberish (EDIT: the last sentence I posted probably was, too), but I wanted to play!

It is very difficult.

Seneca: Agwas degadogë́’ëh.

That was too easy.
