If I'm not mistaken, Navajo has the largest number of speakers and perhaps that's why they went with it. I like it. Hard to sum up the diversity of NAILs, so perhaps going by number is a decent alternative.

Yeah, that is one thing we discussed further up the thread. I forget the stats at the time, but ethnologue states:
Navajo - 149,000
And the closest other NAIL would be Cree (I believe) at 90,714.

But whatever the reason, I don't mind. I'll just have to get used to the flag. :P
