Which ever way you want to go is fine by me. I used to suggest people make threads here, but I'm ok with people using their TACs. I would like some activity of some kind here, but maybe someone can do a story or something, like has been done in the past. I'm also open to suggestions on this.

I have some resources lined up for Ojibwe and Navajo now. I'm kind of annoyed that Hawaii in technically not part of North America, or I'd add Hawaiian too.

We could make an exception because it's part of the US. :P

I'll see how it goes with just Ojibwe and Navajo. The Duolingo Hawaiian course is suppose to get some more lessons added to it in November, and if that happens I will likely take a detour to do that. But otherwise I think I will focus on Ojibwe and Navajo.

What are you using for Ojibwe? I'm still looking for resources.

To be honest, I'm curious as well.

I'd like to go ahead and start my Powwow thread now. :)

Btw I've also started considering making something similar to this in some other forums. I guess the Austronesian, Australian, and Papuan Languages forum could have an imu instead of a powwow, and maybe the South Asian forum could have Pongal or Diwali or something. :P

I think that is an excellent idea! I ran something similar in the CSAIL forum a time or too when I was mod.

Maybe the CSAIL one could be alternatively called Inti Raymi. :D

Very appropriate language for the season! :silly:

I wonder to what extent it's comparable with Aleut.

I get the impression that Aleut does not nearly have the same amount of phonological changes that Inuit dialects have.

Other than that I'm not sure.

I would say "thinking of" (or "thinking about") if you meant that you were considering doing Kalaallisut for the PowWow. What you wrote means that your mental thoughts (or inner voice) before you wrote your post were in Kalaallisut, which to me would imply you know at least some Greenlandic! :D
