East vs West vs the other West, non-Federal vs Federal, etc. I can definitely imagine lots of not so sacred flame threads burning away. :)

For a "Cherokee-Online" site: Again, moderation, news finding/filtering, other? ...

Moderation? Moderation? Isn't that the slogan of the FAT (Frogs Against Toads), a racist organization of frogs with noble birth rights who believe they are superior to the lowly toads?

</end WTF>

Woops, kind of went overboard, eh? I've had an idea of starting a site like that since I figured out that it was gone. Actually, it was the only reason I even tried to learn php.

Anyway, basically what you have is decent enough as is. Perhaps even adding a social networking group as well? http://www.multiply.com, though I have an account I don't like it, but it would be a good example, at least. Like a forum, it has a lot of potential in that a person can write large texts rather than small texts like facebook. Also, each user has the ability to have texts on their own members page (Here's mine http://molbolom.multiply.com/, and here's the group that I joined http://learninglanguagesfun.multiply.com/).

I would never suggest using Multiply, though. 1. The interface is rather ugly. 2. Although it is decent, it's layout is horrible IMO. Though, I don't know if there is any place that is similar to it with a better layout.

Anyway, that's one way I can think of, logically...

Having a bit of trouble...But still trying...

Anyway, this is what happened...

Clicked on login via Facebook. Window opened (A jumpy window, where some of the images/text were jumping left and right. Might have been caused because I didn't have java enabled). Now, every time I try to login via Facebook, the window pops open then closed so fast that I can't see it (might have something to do with either echinus window manager, or some other issue)...Will write back after I try a few more things.

The facebook plugin was sort of a pain.... manually editing templates, etc. :(

But have DIGOHWELI font for entire site.... it so much easier to read Syllabary....

I can imagine. Gotta love those templates...Wait, yeah you do need to love templates, I'm sure it'd be a pain to write the whole thing from scratch, ;)

Yep, that's a good decision. Which means you'll need to add one more link to the Login and/or Register page to where the font can be downloaded from, so that new users will know about it.

It is auto downloaded when you visit the site as part of a style sheet:

I also have it overriding some of the M$ fonts as well ....

You can learn the Cherokee Syllabary by downloading the PDF's then doing the dictation exercises found at: http://www.cherokeelessons.com/Super-Ch ... -Practice/

There are two sets of PDFs, one showing how to write each letter, the other is a blank worksheet to printout many times to practive writing each one one.

If you don't actually do the exercise as a written thing, as the instructions state, you will be taking the long difficult road in learning the Cherokee Syllabary.
