TAC 2022 - Antea

Postby Antea » 2022-01-22, 8:30

Well, last year I mainly focused on Arabic, Hebrew and Persian. And I think this year I am going to continue with same languages.

One new thing, is that I started learning Dari (but as you probably know, is not so much different from Farsi).

Great choice of languages 👍 Let's get the Arabic, Hebrew, and Persian forums active again!
Please correct my mistakes in any language.

(uz) I am also adding Uzbek to the list. I think this will be a good choice for me, as I always wanted to study a Turkic language, and I think that being influenced by Persian, Arabic and Russian, this will be the less complicated Turkic language to start with,

I would say "the least..."

There is an Uzbek restaurant that opened very close to where I live a few years ago. I've been there a few times; it's great! I remember trying to say something in Uzbek when I went there once, but I don't remember what I said, let alone how to say it. Uzbek is so heavily influenced by Persian that sometimes, I have trouble telling whether a song is in Uzbek or Tajik.

Some news: I finally passed my B2 Arabic exam, and I am so happy :D I know that it's an intermediate level, but here it's the highest level of an oficial Arabic exam in which I can get examined. So now, I have a recognised B2 level, and I know that it's not super advanced, but it was important for me to establish that at least I have this level.

So now, I will of course continue learning Arabic but in a more relaxed way, and I can continue also with Farsi /Dari and Hebrew.

Lately I developped some interest for Japanese, but it is still too early to know if it's just another wanderlust :hmm:
